John Patrick grew up near the Confluence and is full of tales of life along the Stateline in the 40’s, 50’s and beyond!

South Beloit history buff John Patrick is author of 5 books including “The Good Old Days” and “Stateline Snapshots: A Beloit Area Scrapbook”. You won’t want to miss this talk that kicks off our “Time Traveler Series” that will highlight the people who lived and worked near the confluence of the Rock River and Turtle Creek.

John is very involved with the South Beloit Historical Society and is busy helping get the historic Bushnell Wheeler Home ready for the Christmas Open House Nov 22-24, so we’re so grateful he’s making time to share his recollections with us.

This a free event, but donations to support the upkeep of the Bushnell Wheeler Home are welcome. Learn more about the Bushnell Wheeler Home here: http://bushnellwheelerhome.com/

About The “Time Traveler” Discovery Series – If this land could talk it would tell you about the people that cared for it, revered it, cried for it, dreamed of it, and shaped it over the millennia.  The Time Traveler Discovery Series will explore the fascinating history of this land and the people who lived or worked near the confluence of Turtle Creek and the Rock River over the centuries.
