Celebrate the Rock River Trail on June 3 and 4 in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin!

Join us for a Saturday paddle down the Rock River to celebrate the trail opening and to bring awareness to the recreational water opportunities in Wisconsin. Enjoy a group bike ride, historic riverwalk tour, outdoor live music along the river, vintage swimsuits on display at the museum, and much more!

On Sunday, June 4, celebrate the Rock River Trail Air Route with a Fly-in Breakfast at the Fort Atkinson Municipal Airport with plane and helicopter rides, and an all-you-can-eat Jones Dairy Farm breakfast.

Schedule of Events:

Saturday, June 3 – Canoe or kayak the Rock River with 2 Rivers Bicycle & Canoe, Canoe demonstration by Rock River Canoe Co., safety lessons on paddling, riverwalk tour, live music and more!

5am – 4th Annual Fishing Derby (register at TPF Outdoors or American Legion)
8am – 25-40 Mile Group Bike Ride (Meet at 2 Rivers Bicycle & Outdoor at 33 W. Sherman Ave)
9am – Riverwalk tour along the river (Meet at the Fort Farmers Market across from the Post Office at E. Milwaukee Ave)
9am-4pm – Canoe or kayak the Rock River (rentals available at 2 Rivers Bicycle & Outdoor by the trip or by the hour. Call ahead to reserve a boat at 920-563-2222)
12-1pm – Tour and canoe demonstration by Kim Grunow at Rock River Canoe Co. (99 N. Main Street)
11am-2pm – Hoard Historical Museum (Vintage swimsuits on display and Dairy Day)
1-2pm – Safety lessons on paddling by Jeremy Pinc and Cynthia Holt (Municipal parking lot, W. Sherman Ave)
6-10pm – Brock’s River Walk Tavern & Grill (Live music by alternative rock band SuperTuesday playing outdoor along the river)
8:30pm-11pm – Café Carpe (Dulcimer players Rich Thum and Steve Seifert in the listening room on the river)

Sunday, June 4

8:00am-12:00pm – Wings & Wheels Fly-In Breakfast at the Fort Atkinson Municipal Airport, hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Fort Atkinson
~ All-you-can-eat country-style breakfast cooked by Jones Dairy Farm
~ Plane rides every 30 minutes
~ Helicopter rides every 20 minutes
~ Car show and free kids activities

6-9pm – Hijinx (Live music by The Madpolecats, Bath Salt Zombies and Buffo’s Wake)
