Rock Trail Coalition’s “25 Years of Trails” Celebration

Rock Trail Coalition was organized in 1992 by two UW-Rock County professors, Dave Gibbs and Lloyd Goding.

In the last 25 years Rock Trail Coalition members have advocated, fund-raised, cut brush, cleared trail, recruited donors, planted prairie, planned trail, mowed trail, snow-plowed trail, defended trail, engaged politicians, spoke up at meetings, chain sawed, lobbied, presented to service clubs, and once in a while we even had bike rides and hikes.

February 16 we will host a celebration of our last 25 years connecting communities with trails.

Join us for old photos (of very young people), stories of successful ideas and some not quite so successful ideas.  There is no official presentation but there will be lots of names, recognition, thank you to donors, remembering members we have lost, pictures of old work days, bike tours, runs, hikes, picnics and parties.

Join us. Share your stories. Bring old pictures. Enjoy some refreshments.

Look back and look ahead. Learn what we have all accomplished together and what we hope to accomplish in the future.

This event is free and open to the public.  Everyone is invited to attend.

6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Rock County Job Center, 1900 Center Avenue, Janesville, WI  53546.
